Robert L. Bearden, WW
II Army sergeant, paratrooper, and winner of
Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals, was
presented with the DAR Medal of Honor on
Sunday, July 24, 2011. Mayor Timothy Hancock
presented Mr. Bearden with a proclamation
declaring July 24, 2011 as Bob Bearden Day.
This day of honor was shared by many friends
and dignitaries of the community. Mr.
Bearden and chapter members are pictured.
